Staking

Stake an asset for a fixed term and a fixed annual rate: you take a writer's standing offer, your principal goes to the writer for the term, and principal plus the reward frozen at the take come back at maturity. Nothing is paid before maturity and a swap cannot be closed early.

Please read before you stake: The writer's obligation to return your principal plus the reward is unsecured: the trading venue never verifies what the writer does with the asset, holds nothing against the return, and settles a short writer partially; any shortfall stays as your claim, paid from the writer's later balance.
